Examples for the Learn from Replications with Associated Regions (ARs)

Example 1: Transfer of Dune Restoration Techniques
A Lighthouse site successfully demonstrated a low-cost dune reinforcement method. Through workshops and field exchanges, two Associated Regions adapted the method using locally available materials and different vegetation species suited to their coastal conditions.

Example 2: Peer Learning for Wetland Management
Representatives from multiple regions participated in a cross-site exchange focused on wetland restoration. Each region presented its own management challenges, and together they co-created a set of transferable design principles applicable across northern and southern Europe.

Example 3: Joint Monitoring Framework
Lighthouse and AR partners co-developed a harmonized monitoring protocol for biodiversity and ecosystem services. Despite different governance systems, all regions applied the same indicators, enabling comparative evaluation and shared reporting within the A-AAGORA network.
